Existing certified batteries

With the development of electronics, information and communication products towards wireless and portable, high performance components of products are also moving towards the goal of "light, thin, short and small". Batteries have been widely used as the best power supply. However, in recent years, the global recall of batteries has aroused concerns about the safety of battery products in the international market. Field supervision agencies have also increased the supervision of battery products, so that domestic battery manufacturers are facing the challenge of improving product quality. Our products are manufactured according to the certification requirements.
  
What kind of battery certification do you have? General battery certification is as follows:

EU: CE certification (restricted to basic safety requirements for products that do not endanger the safety of humans, animals and goods), ROHS certification (directive on restricting the use of certain harmful ingredients in electronic and electrical equipment), 206/66/EC

USA: FCC Certification (Federal Communications Commission), UL Certification (American Insurer Testing Institute) can only be used for one model (different models need to be certified separately), which is more expensive.

Japan: PSE Certification (Japan Compulsory Security Certification)

Korea: KC Certification (Korea Unified Product Certification Standard)

Taiwan: BSMI Certification (Standard Inspection Bureau, Ministry of Economy of Taiwan)

Considering the security aspect, some customers will do IEC62133, which is a security test.

Transportation requires UN38.3 + MSDS. Both certifications are required for both sea and air transportation, especially for battery management.

Common battery test items:

Electrical performance test: rated capacity, discharge performance, over-discharge, over-charge, forced discharge, high-speed charging, external short circuit, durability, charge retention and recovery, internal resistance;

Mechanical performance testing: vibration, mechanical impact, free fall, extrusion, heavy impact;

Environmental performance testing: high simulation, temperature cycle, heat abuse;

Other tests: electrostatic discharge, battery compatibility, battery electrochemical analysis, battery material characteristics analysis.

1. Lithium Battery Air Transport Certificate (UN38.3 Certification)

UN38.3 test is a mandatory test to ensure that lithium batteries can be safely transported by air and sea. It is suitable for almost all over the world and belongs to safety and performance testing. As long as lithium batteries are contained in the shipping package, whether small button batteries, batteries installed on the equipment or batteries packed with the equipment, UN38.3 testing is required and air inspection can be carried out after obtaining air transport identification report.

2、IEC 62133

IEC 62133 is the most important international standard for lithium-ion batteries in the world, and also an important basis for IECEE-CB certification. At present, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India and other countries have adopted IEC 62133 to formulate their own national standards, which have become an important basis for market access of these countries. The latest version of IEC 62133 was released on February 7, 2017. IEC 62133 is maintained by IEC/SC21A and formulated by WG4. The first edition was released in 2002 and the second edition in 2012.

3、CE Certification of EU

Suitable for the EU area, divided into safety and performance testing, CE certification belongs to self-declaration, if manufacturers have the ability to test, then they can put CE conformity label on their products for sale in Europe, but if they are not qualified in the EU market, they will be recalled (very serious fines), so many domestic manufacturers commission a third party to test. The risk of recall is largely avoided.

4. Japanese PSE Certification

Suitable for Japan, mainly for safety and performance testing. Products of "specific electrical appliances and materials" entering the Japanese market must obtain third-party certification licensed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, labeling PSE diamond-shaped logo, and products of "non-specific electrical appliances and materials" must make self-declaration or apply for third-party certification, labeling PSE circular logo. Lithium batteries can be chosen either. At present, because of the cost of lithium power plants, circular lithium batteries are chosen, unless it is required by foreign customers to make prismatic lithium batteries.

5、Korean KC Certification

Applicable to Korea, the test standard KC62133, especially pay attention to the battery KC certification depends on whether the battery has been KC or CB certification. If the battery has been CB or KC, then directly make the battery KC, the cost is RMB15,000 to 20,000. If the cell is not made, the cost of making the whole product is RMB30,000-35,000.
